Finding Purpose Through Poodles
Perfect Poodle isn’t just about breeding beautiful silver Poodles—it’s about second chances, healing, and the power of dogs to change lives.
Our journeys started in different ways, but both led us here. For Amy, it was a loss. Losing her son at age 6 left a hole in her heart, one that seemed impossible to fill. For Mike, it was a second chance. During a 7-year prison term, Mike was given an opportunity to train bomb-sniffing dogs—a tough but life-changing experience. Auburn University operated a program 24/7 within the prison to a select number of inmates and taught them about canine care, dog training, behavior, and handling techniques.
That experience taught discipline, patience, and the deep bond between dogs and people. But at the time, Mike had no idea that dogs would become such a huge part of his future.
The Poodle Zoo – More Than a Breeding Program
What started as two Poodles quickly turned into a home filled with love, laughter, and wagging tails. If you are looking for a standard Poodle or a mini Poodle (dwarf), stop by and visit their Poodle Zoo! Poodles helped Amy smile again. They reminded Mike of the deep connection between dogs and people.
